The Autofall Mill is an autogenous grinding mill. The deflector liner on the mill interior and the crushing bars grind the feed efficiently. The mill is capable of crushing lumps as large as hundreds of millimeters in size into a product several millimeters or even mesh size.

The product is discharged by a controlled air current and grinding materials whose moisture content is 30% or more. Type AP is suitable for coarse grinding.
Purpose of autofall mill
Autofall mill is designed and engineered for large lumps such as slag containing lump metals and waste concrete containing reinforcing bars and mud to dry and crush them to the size of tens millimeters or under or to that of 1 mm or under, and recover high-grade metals automatically therefrom.
Mechanism and Features
1) A large-diameter and short-length rotary drum is lined internally with liners of special shape and raw materials fed into the drum are crushed by mutual compression and collision of raw materials.
2) In case when raw materials are to be crushed to the size of tens millimeters or under, a mill of peripheral discharge type is used. In case of pulverizing, a mill of air-swept type is used.
3) Since metals are left in the drum, high-grade metals can be recovered automatically.
4) In case of wet raw materials, they can be dried and crushed simultaneously by blowing a hot blast into the drum. The temperature of hot blast is automatically adjusted depending on the moisture contents of raw materials.
5) All the process systems are kept at negative pressures, thus causing no environmental pollution by dust.
